The Helko bedroll allows you to easily travel and set up camp without the need for sleeping bags, tarps, or tents. Just unroll where you plan to sleep, and crawl inside with a decent blanket. This bedroll is built from 16 oz., heavy duty, 100% waxed cotton canvas and is proudly made in the USA. A heavy beeswax finish has been applied and allowed time to soak through the canvas, making the bag highly durable and water repellent.

The Helko Werk Swiss Army Mountaineer is a high quality rendition of the original, made 100% from fine Australian wool. Utmost care and attention have been given to quality, comfort, and durability. Australia is a producer of the world’s finest, most desirable wool. Gathered from sustainable sheep farms, this wool will outperform most other wools, including wool blends and synthetics. Our Swiss Army blankets showed the maker’s marks and initials in the lower corner of the blanket.

About Helko Werk Axes
Axe Manufacturing Process
Our axes are individually forged by hand using a drop hammer on open dies. The blacksmith works on a drop forge, using tongs to hold the hot steel as a hammer falls repeatedly onto it. The drop hammer runs continuously at remarkable speed, requiring a highly skilled and time-tested smith. The hand-eye coordination and judgment required for this process can only come from years of experience, as every split-second decision ultimately affects the shape and integrity of the final product.

Axe Leather Sheaths
Our Leather Sheaths are made from vegetable tanned, full grain, cowhide leather. We install a heavy duty welt in all of our sheaths, which is an added strip of leather that rests against the blade, for maximum blade protection. The buckle fasteners are nickel plated with an adjustable strap that will always ensure a snug fit, even if the leather stretches over time.

Heavy Duty 16 Oz. Waxed Cotton Canvas: This bedroll is built from 16 oz. heavy duty, 100% waxed cotton canvas and is proudly made in the USA. A heavy beeswax finish has been applied and allowed time to soak through the canvas, making the bag highly durable and water repellent.
Waterproofing Canvas Beeswax Finish: The built-in leather bedroll straps are removable, and long enough to accommodate storing a heavy blanket inside. These bags can be quickly cleaned with a damp rag, or a brush with soapy water if a deeper cleaning is needed. Canvas wax or beeswax can eventually be used to re-coat the canvas if desired.
Heavy Duty Zippers: The rugged, compact sleeping bag has full-length heavy duty zippers that allows quick and easy entry and exit from either side of the camp bed, as well as protection from the elements. They will not jam or get stuck when pulling, making it convenient to use for opening and closing.
Rugged and Durable Design: Our outdoor camping bedroll is equipped with handmade full-grain leather straps that are removable, adjustable, strong, and long enough to accommodate storing a heavy blanket or rolling a bed inside. It measures 80″ L x 40″ W which is half size compared to other foldable bed rolls in the market, so it’s easy to roll it up and carry. FITS A PERSON UP TO 6’2”.
